No More Running

Jacob had been tricking people (and being tricked by others) his whole life. This caused him to be on the run his whole life. When his past catches up with him (his brother Esau is approaching), Jacob decides to turn to God. In the wrestling match with “the man,” Jacob’s hip is wrenched, symbolizing that he won’t be able to (or have to) run again. He was changed inside and out.
